ENGLISH CONSTRUCTION, INC. has been in business since 1955 and steadily growing to serve the southern part of Indiana. TYPE OF WORK: Residential & commercial remodeling, insurance repairs (fire, wind, water damage restoration) and new building (new homes, room additions, garages, barns, etc.) MAJOR WORK AREA: The majority of our projects are located in Monroe, Greene, Lawrence, Owen, Martin, Morgan, Jackson, Daviess and Brown counties. With occasional work on larger projects outside these counties. INSURANCE: We offer health insurance to all full-time employees who have been with us for at least 3 months. Company pays 80% of employee's portion. VACATION FUND: An optional vacation fund account is available to any employee wishing to participate. SKILLED FOREMAN, DUTIES INCLUDE: Running project per prints, work order, or instructions given by the Job Supervisor, laying out work for a crew of 1-4 carpenters or laborers and keeping them busy, reporting every day to the Job Supervisor on the progress of the job, knowledge of all phases of construction from rough framing to finish carpentry work as well as drywall, masonry, and concrete work experience with a minimum of 5 years experience, have own transportation and all major carpentry tools. SKILLED CARPENTER, DUTIES INCLUDE: Working under the supervision of the job foreman, following his instructions, working by oneself or with a crew of other carpenters, prefer knowledge of all phases of construction from rough framing to finish carpentry work with at least 4 years of experience, have own transportation and all major carpentry tools. SKILLED LABORER, DUTIES INCLUDE: Working under the supervision of the job foreman, following his instructions, working with other carpenters, prefer basic knowledge of carpentry work with at least 4 years experience, have own transportation and basic carpentry tools.
